‘Community Control Over Police Should Be a Democratic Right’

Consistent with the larger implementation of corporate control over the state (one of the textbook definitions of fascism), the police have been federalized and militarized. This apparatus needs to be dismantled, and communities should have control and review powers over the police, who should return to their original purpose, “To serve and protect.”

As discussed on this website, the FBI (as well as the Justice Department, the U.S. military, the offices of the U.S. Attorneys, various mayors, and the police departments) is complicit in drug trafficking, from the fields of Afghanistan and the jungles of Columbia to the cities of North America and Europe. So, when the FBI arrests police officers for protecting drug trafficking, either the officers were preventing drug trafficking (as is the case with the Austin 7), or they were skimming profits that would otherwise go to the kingpins.
